The number of facilities launched in Iran’s industry sector increased by 13.3 percent during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the report of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, 2,170 established and developed facilities were licensed to be put into operation during the reporting period. While in the same period last Iranian year, a total of 1,910 facilities were licensed.
As a result of the operation of these facilities, more than 54,000 jobs were created. This is an increase of 46 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
In addition, the amount of investment made in the facilities over the past four months, increased by 174.8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year and amounted to about 859 trillion rials (about $20.4 billion).
About 12,500 facilities were licensed in Iran to be setting up in the 4 months, and it is estimated that about 300,000 people will be employed in these facilities. In total, 3.24 quadrillion rials (about $77.2 billion) is to be spent on these facilities.
