Kazakhstan unveils recent data on grain harvesting

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 16

Over 13.6 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested in Kazakhstan as of September 16, 2021, which is 85.7 percent of their total harvested area, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture.

With an average yield of 9.1 centners per hectare, 12.5 million tons of grain were milled, the ministry said.

"In Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions, 10.3 million hectares were harvested, which is 89 percent of the harvested area. As much as 8.6 million tons of grain were milled, and yield amounted to 8.4 c/ha," the ministry said.
