Uzbek UzAuto Motors has restored the manufacturing of Chevrolet Lacetti and Spark models, Trend reports citing the press service of the company.
In August 2021, the manufacturing of almost all car models in the country sharply decreased.
According to the company, the decrease occurred due to the fact that in the middle of summer, UzAuto Motors began work on the launch of a unified platform for the manufacturing of new models.
At the first stage, Tracker and Onix models will be manufactured.
“This large-scale modernization took place against the backdrop of an acute shortage of semiconductors, necessary for the production of cars. Due to this, production of Chevrolet Lacetti and Chevrolet Spark models was temporarily suspended, ”UzAuto Motors explained.
