Iran has been decided to invest 138 trillion rials (about $3.28 billion) in the industrial sector of the South Khorasan Province (north-eastern Iran), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of South Khorasan Province Abbas Jorjani said, Trend reports citing the organization.
Thus, 189 industrial enterprises will be setting up in the province and 7,000 people will be employed as a result, the chairman said
He added that 21 industrial enterprises at a cost of 4.19 trillion rials (about $99.8 million) were put into operation in the province during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), and as a result, 390 people were provided with jobs.
Deris noted that about 12,000 people work in enterprises in various industries in South Khorasan Province.
"Currently, the province produces more than 2.5 million tons of coal concentrate and 21 million square meters of ceramics a year," he said.
