Iran’s trade turnover through the border terminals of Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) amounted to 1.41 million tons during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), Director General for Road Maintenance and Transportation Department of the province Ayyoub Kord said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
According to him, about 920,000 tons of goods were exported through the terminals of the Milak and Mirjaveh border checkpoints in 7 months, which is an increase of about 30 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Kord added that the main exported goods in seven months were liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), hydrocarbons, gasoline, diesel, foodstuffs and etc. These goods were transported by 40,000 trucks.
Kord also noted that 378,000 tons of goods were transited and 147,000 tons were imported through the border checkpoints of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province over the reporting period.
