Foreign Ministry Representative announced that the economic exchanges between Kenya and Iran are expanding.

The Kenyan delegation, including some agricultural commodity traders, have visited production and industrial factories in Kashan, Aran, and Bidgol city of Isfahan Province.

In January, the Iranian ambassador to Kenya, Jafar Barmaki said some of the technologies Iran is bidding to jumpstart trade relations with Kenya include renewable energy, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and other high-tech technologies that Iran has acquired for the last four decades.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country in March 2020, Iran was enjoying $150 million of exports to Kenya, mainly in construction materials and textile products, while in the opposite direction, Kenya only managed $30 million from the sale of tea and coffee to Tehran.
