Main part of goods from Iran’s Sistan & Baluchestan Province exported to Pakistan

About 78 percent of goods from the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) in terms of value were exported to Pakistan, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), said Deputy Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Mohammad Rafi Soltanzadeh, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to him, about $81.9 million worth of goods were exported from the province to Pakistan in 7 months.

The deputy added that about $81.8 million worth of goods for seven months were exported through the province's customs, while $142,000 worth of goods were exported through border markets.

Soltanzadeh noted that the exported goods were mainly construction materials, gas, sulfur, dates, ceramics.

As reported, Iran's exports through the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province for the first seven months of the current Iranian year amounted to 2.47 million tons worth $867 million. This is an increase of 12 percent in terms of value and 27 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
