In general, Iran exported $58.4 million worth of cars and spare parts, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.
According to Latifi, Iran exported $7.22 million worth of cars to 12 countries in 7 months.
Latifi added that the cars with a motor capacity of up to 1,500 CC were exported to eight countries and totaled $1.1 million. These cars were mainly exported to Azerbaijan, and the value of exports amounted to $972,000. Meanwhile, the rest cars were exported to China, Spain, Russia, Senegal, Ukraine, Iraq, and Turkey.
"The cars with a motor capacity of 1,500-2,500 CC were exported to six countries and totaled $449,000. Thus, $274,000 worth of cars were exported to Iraq, $63,000 to Senegal, $40,200 to Spain, $34,700 to Russia, $33,700 to Taiwan, and $3,160 to the UAE," he said.
The spokesman noted that passenger cars with a motor capacity of 2,000-2,500 CC worth $16,500 were exported to Azerbaijan.
Latifi stressed that the diesel cars with a motor capacity of 2,500-3,000 CC worth $4.74 million were exported to Iraq in seven months.
"In addition, Iran exported $80,000 worth of diesel cars with a motor capacity of 1,500-2,000 CC to Taiwan and $1,930 worth of diesel cars with a motor capacity of 1,500-2,000 CC to Russia," he said.
He also added that about $826,000 worth of trucks were exported to Kuwait and Venezuela.
Within 7 months, Iran exported car spare parts worth about $51.2 million, according to the customs official.
