A total of 2.07 million tons of goods worth more than 149 trillion rials (about $3.54 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (December 11 through December 16, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is an increase of 3.3 percent in value, and 4.9 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (December 4 through December 9, 2021).
So, 1.98 million tons of goods worth more than 144 trillion rials (about $3.42 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, about 1.55 million tons of goods worth about 81.9 trillion rials (about $1.94 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
The main products sold in this section were cement, steel, iron ore, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, cast-iron, molybdenum concentrate, precious metal concentrate, gold bars and etc.
In addition, about 524,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 65.7 trillion rials (about $1.56 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
The main products sold in this section were bitumen, polymer substances, vacuum bottom, lube cut, chemicals, base oil, slaps wax, sulfur, argon and etc.
Furthermore, about 5,390 tons of various products worth about 1.01 trillion rials (about $24 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
