BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Priority areas for economic sectors for 2022 and priority criteria for evaluating projects have been approved in accordance with the decision of the Supervisory Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, Acting Chairman of the Fund Osman Khaliyev said in an interview with the “Vergiler” (Taxes) newspaper of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, Trend reports.
In accordance with the criteria, in order to develop the non-oil sector, it is envisaged to create import-substituting and export-oriented production and processing enterprises based on innovative technologies, the development of micro, small and medium-sized businesses, taking into account the UN Sustainable Development Goals, social and corporate governance, environmental protection, support for business projects that serve the socio-economic development of the Azerbaijani territories liberated from Armenian occupation, he noted.
