BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The sales of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) increased by 90 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the Managing Director of the company, Ali Rostami said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
According to Rostami, the value of company's sales for the last Iranian year amounted to 800 trillion rials (about $19 billion), which is a new record.
“Meanwhile, in the 12th month of last Iranian year alone (February 20 through March 20, 2022), the value of company's sales amounted to 85.6 trillion rials (about $2.04 billion),” the director added.
Reportedly, in total, the company's copper exports reached 317,000 tons last Iranian year. The figure stood at 270,000 tons preceding Iranian year.
