BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. The lead concentrate production of the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) increased by 16.4 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, the complex produced a total of 8,874 tons of lead concentrate last Iranian year. Meanwhile, in the preceding the Iranian year, the figure stood at 7,620 tons.

Also, 252,744 tons of minerals were extracted from the mining complex, which is 258 percent more than in the preceding Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 70,673 tons in the preceding Iranian year.

“Furthermore, the Nakhlak complex produced 771 tons of lead concentrate in the 12th month of last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), which is 27 percent more than in the same month in the preceding the Iranian year. Thus, 608 tons of lead concentrate were produced in the same month preceding the Iranian year,” the report said.

At the same time, 24,700 tons of minerals were extracted from this mining complex in the 12th month. This is an increase of 51 percent, compared to the same month of the preceding Iranian year. Meanwhile, in the same month of the preceding the Iranian year, the figure stood at 16,331 tons.

Reportedly, the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex has reserves of 1 million tons of lead. The figure is expected to reach 3 million tons by mid-2023.
