BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Iran has saved a total of 3 trillion rials (about $71.4 million) by domestic production of needed equipment for power plants, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), an official of Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH), Ali Isapour said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
According to the official, a total of 365,000 units of needed equipment for power plants were produced in the country domestically.
Isapour added that production of the mentioned equipment was carried out as part of 18 contracts.
“Some equipment in Iran, especially needed for power plants, is more expensive than its foreign analogues, as it is the first of its kind produced here,” he said.
