BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Turkey's steel exports to Russia decreased by 5.4 percent in March 2022 compared to the same month in 2021, to $108,270, Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, Turkey exported steel to Russia in the amount of $25.5 million in 1Q2022, which is 16.7 percent more than in the same period in 2021.
Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth of steel to world markets in March 2022, up 48.9 percent from the same month in 2021.
"Turkey totally exported steel to world markets in the amount of $5.6 billion in 1Q2022, which is 51 percent more than in the same period in 2021," the ministry said.
Turkey has exported steel worth $24.2 billion in total during past 12 months (from March 2021 through March 2022).
Turkey exported steel worth $22.3 billion to world markets last year.
