BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Kazakhstan has extracted 40.2 million tons of coal over the period from January through April 2022, which is 7.2 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The report said that the volume of coal extracted in April 2022 stood at 9.1 million tons, which in turn is 6.6 percent more than in April 2021.
Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 29.5 million tons during the reporting period, which is 5 percent more than the volume extracted during the same period of 2021. Kazakhstan’s April oil output was 6.8 million tons, which also is 3.2 percent less than during the same month of 2021.
Kazakhstan also extracted 19.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas during four months of 2022 and 4.3 billion cubic meters in April, which is 6.7 percent more and 1.1 percent more year-on-year.
Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 1.04 million tons and 269,400 tons during the reporting period and April 2022 respectively, which is 5.6 percent more and 9.4 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 234,400 tons over four months (up by 40.5 percent) and 62,300 tons in April 2022 (up by 67 percent), whereas gasoil manufacturing equaled 1.7 million tons over four months (up by 10.6 percent) and 62,300 tons in April 2022 (up by 67 percent).
Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 407,800 tons over four months of 2022 with an annual increase of 13.8 percent, whereas April output was 98,700 tons (up by 20.4 percent annual).
Electricity generation over the reporting period of 2022 equaled 39.9 billion kWh, which is 0.9 percent less than during the same period of 2021, whereas the volume of electricity generated in April 2022 amounted to 8.8 billion kWh, which is 4.6 percent less year-on-year.
The volume of thermal energy generated from January through April 2022 amounted to 41.1 million Gcal with an annual decrease of 3.5 percent, whereas April 2022 output was 6.6 million Gcal, which is 6.2 percent less than in April 2021.
