BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Iran's raw steel production increased by 6 percent, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
Within 3 months, Iran produced about 8.58 million tons of raw steel.
Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, the country’s raw steel production amounted to 8.07 million tons.
At the same time, 5.67 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over three months, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, the figure stood at 5.39 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, Iran produced about 9.92 million tons of sponge iron in 3 months.
This is an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. Thus, sponge iron production in Iran amounted to 8.76 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
