TEHRAN, Iran, August 1. Iran`s agricultural products exports to Russia have doubled in the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), compared to the same period last year, the director of the Plant Protection Organization of Iran (PPO) Shapour Alaie-Moghadam said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
The amount of Iran`s agricultural exports to Russia have more than doubled since the beginning of the year, said Alaie-Moghadam.
He added that Iran's export of plant products to Russia was around 400,000 to 500,000 tons in the previous years.
According to the official, the expansion of political relations between Iran and Russia has provided grounds for unifying Plant Protection and Quarantine standards between the two countries.
Alaie-Moghadam has also announced the signing of 3 cooperation agreements between Iran`s PPO, and the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare of Russia.
