BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. Kazakhstan’s Kazatomprom National Atomic Company committed to promoting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the company official told Trend.

In March 2022 Kazatomprom officially joined the UN Global Compact.

“As a member, we share and support the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and take steps to further integrate the Ten principles into our strategies, policies, procedures and corporate culture,” the company said.

The official added that sustainability is viewed as corporate priority by the company.

“As a world leader in uranium production and responsible associate of the global business community, we are truly committed to promoting the Ten Principles by contributing actively and ensuring we make a positive impact against all relevant UN's Sustainable Development Goals. We view sustainability as a key corporate priority and commit to continuous advancement of our sustainability and ESG practices to minimise our environmental impact, to operate in a more sustainable way and meet stakeholder and regulatory expectations,” the company official concluded.
