BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. The Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran has approved 32 projects to attract foreign investment worth $30 million in Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2022), Deputy Governor of Mazandaran Province for economic issues Hassan Kheiranpour told IRNA, Trend reports.

The deputy governor noted that foreign investors are from seven countries - Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, the UAE, Russia, Tajikistan and Türkiye.

He also added that foreign investments will be made in the province’s tourism, energy and industry sectors.

“At present, the Organization is looking into a proposal to invest $3.5 million worth of foreign investment in Mazandaran Province within the framework of three projects,” Kheiranpour said.

Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), the organization approved the making of foreign investments worth $10 million in Mazandaran Province within the framework of 3 projects. These projects covered the construction of 2 small-scale power plants and 1 health clinic.
