TEHRAN, Iran, August 23. Iran and Oman's trade has increased during the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), the chairman of Iran - Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Zarrabi told Trend.
Iran's export to Oman had a 134.5 percent increase in this period reaching $415 million while it has imported $232 million worth of commodities from Oman indicating 32 percent growth compared to the previous year, he noted.
The total trade volume between Iran and Oman was $647 million, he said adding that the trade balance between the two countries was $183 million which was more positive on Iran's part.
The official predicted Iran's export to Oman will reach $1.2 billion and trade would rise to more than $2 billion by the end of the current Iranian year.
Iran's total export to Oman was $713 million in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) and total trade between the two countries was $1.3 billion.
