BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. As many as 586 facilities were put into use in the industrial sector of Iran’s Isfahan Province (central Iran), at a cost of 117 trillion rials (about $2.79 billion), during the past 1 year (August 23, 2021 through August 22, 2022), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Isfahan Province Amir Hossein Komeili said, Trend reports citing the organization.

Komeili noted that a total of 12,230 people were provided with jobs with the launch of mentioned facilities. The facilities are engaged in the production of metal products, manufacturing of equipment, as well as textile and other fields.

“Furthermore, Iran issued licenses for the construction of 1,303 new industrial facilities in the province. About 606 trillion rials (about $14.4 billion) is to be spent on those facilities, and as a result, 35,695 people are to be employed,” he said.

The chairman added that Isfahan Province ranks 5th in the country in terms of the number of industrial facilities under construction, 11th in the country in terms of expenditures, and 4th in terms of employment.
