BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Tax revenues in Iran increased by 71 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring IRNA.

According to the report, Iran received taxes worth $2.31 quadrillion rials (about $55 billion) in 6 months.

However, it was decided to reduce taxes in the country's industrial sector by 5 percent for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Iran's total tax revenue was about 3.25 quadrillion rials (about $77.4 billion).

The figure stood at about 2.07 quadrillion rials (about $49.2 billion) in the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
