BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 10. More than 2.98 million tons of non-oil products worth $955 million were exported from Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province in the north-west of the country, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan Province Abdolhamid Sartipi told ISNA, Trend reports.

“In 7 months, about $604 million worth of petrochemical products, about $136 million worth of agricultural and food products, $122 million worth of industrial products, $91.8 million worth of minerals, $329,000 worth of handicrafts and carpets were exported from the province,” he said.

Sartipi added that the mentioned products were mainly exported to Türkiye, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Italy, France, the UK, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, India and others.

The chairman also noted that about 391,000 tons of goods worth $612 million were imported to West Azerbaijan Province in 7 months. The goods were mainly imported from Türkiye, China, Germany, South Korea, Russia, Slovakia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and other countries.
