BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Qom Province (northern Iran), increased by 22 percent in value and 28 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Derikvandi, in total, about 380,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $348 million were exported through Qom Province’s customs in the last Iranian year.

“In addition, 71,500 tons of goods worth approximately $377 million were imported through the customs of Qom Province within the mentioned period,” he added.

At the same time, 97,700 tons of cargo were transited through the customs of the province for the last Iranian year, the official said.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding year.

At the same time, Iran imported a total of 33.6 million tons of goods worth $53.7 billion for 11 months, which is an increase of 15.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 8.61 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding year.
