BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Iran’s non-oil exports through the Bilasuvar customs of Ardabil Province (north-western Iran), increased by 42 percent in value and 21 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Governor of Bilasuvar County, Sahibali Asghari told IRNA, Trend reports.

The governor noted that a total of 195,000 tons of non-oil products worth $84 million were exported through Iran’s Bilasuvar customs in the last Iranian year.

Asghari added that potatoes, vegetables, greens, ceramics, rubber products, etc. were the main products exported via Iran’s Bilasuvar customs.

“Furthermore, 1.13 million tons of cargo were transited through Bilasuvar customs of Iran for the last Iranian year, which is an increase of 224 percent compared to the preceding year,” he said.

The Bilasuvar border checkpoint is located on the border between Iran and Azerbaijan.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
