BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 2. Iran’s non-oil exports through customs of Isfahan Province, increased by 41 percent in value and 7 percent in volume, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports.
A total of 524,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $448 million were exported through the customs of the province for 3 months, he said.
“In general, 380 kinds of non-oil products were exported through the province's customs within the mentioned period. The main exported goods were steel products worth $225 million, petrochemicals worth $66 million, iron and cast iron products worth $31 million, dairy products worth $26 million, and carpets worth $25 million,” the official added.
Kuhestani also pointed out that the mentioned goods were exported to 66 countries, mainly Iraq worth $161 million, Pakistan worth $107 million, Türkiye worth $36 million, Afghanistan worth $31 million, and the UAE worth $26 million.
The customs official noted that the goods worth $259 million were exported via the Isfahan border checkpoint, $80 million via the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company, $77 million via the Kashan border checkpoint, $29 million via the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company and $2 million via the customs of Shahid Beheshti Airport.
Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value, while an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
