BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Iran imported 7,840 tons of goods worth approximately $22.6 million from Azerbaijan during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Trend reports.

According to the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's imports from Azerbaijan for the reporting period increased by 67.3 percent in value while decreasing by 8.9 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, Iran imported 8,600 tons of goods worth $13.5 million from Azerbaijan in the same period of the last Iranian year.

In 4 months, Iran mainly imported equipment, compressed soybeans, various profiles, etc. from Azerbaijan.

In the 4th month of the current Iranian year alone (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran imported 4,000 tons of goods worth $11.3 million from Azerbaijan.

Overall, Iran imported 11.8 million tons of goods worth $19.5 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is an increase of 10.8 percent in value and 6.18 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
