BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 22. Iran exported about 364,000 tons of non-oil goods, worth approximately $248 million, to Uzbekistan during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), Trend reports.

However, Iran’s non-oil exports to Uzbekistan stood at 251,000 tons, worth about $176 million, in the first nine months and 10 days of the previous Iranian year, according to data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

It should be noted that IRICA published the statistics for 9 months and 10 days of last year instead of 9 months.

The main export items were milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, glassware, agricultural equipment, etc. during those six months.

In the 9th month alone (November 22 through December 21, 2023), Iran exported 44,400 tons of goods valued at $31.2 million to Uzbekistan.

Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.

IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran exported about 102 million tons of non-oil products worth $36.4 billion in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023). This represents a 0.68 percent drop in value but a 26.5 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
