Details of Iran’s non-oil export to Azerbaijan disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. Iran exported 634,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $500 million to Azerbaijan during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Trend reports.

This is a decrease of 9.9 percent in value and an increase of 0.54 percent in volume compared to the same period last year, according to the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Meanwhile, in the same period of the previous Iranian year, Iran’s non-oil exports to Azerbaijan stood at around 631,000 tons worth over $554 million.

In 10 months, Iran mainly exported agricultural and food products, industrial products, petrochemicals, and chemical products to Azerbaijan.

During the 10th month alone (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Iran exported 65,100 tons of goods worth $89 million to Azerbaijan.

Iran’s efforts to boost its non-oil exports amid the US sanctions that limit its oil sales. Iran’s non-oil exports include all products except crude oil, mazut, and white oil.

IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran exported a total of 113 million tons of non-oil products valued at $40.5 billion in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024). This represents an 11 percent drop in value but a 9.4 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
