On results of October 2005 average statutory capital of the Azerbaijani banks grew
from 27.13bn manats to 27.3bn manats against 23.9bn manats till early 2005 and normative demand at $3.5m. Over October branch network of banks did not expand. As of 1 November 43 banks had 376 branches against the same figure as of 1 October and 350 branches of 44 banks as of 1 January 2005, the National bank of Azerbaijan told Trend.
Over October the total statutory capital of the banks grew from 1,166,52bn manats to 1,173,9bn manats or 0.63%, over 2005 the growth comprised only 11.69%. Over September the capital of 42 commercial banks increased from 1,026,52bn manats to 1,033,9bn manats.The capitals of the two state banks remained 140bn manats.
Over September the total of 17 bank with foreign share increased from 473.2bn manats to 476.4bn manats.
