“The Azerbaijani Chamber of Auditors approved a new program on tax audit,” Valy Rahimov, the head of the financial sector of the Chamber, told Trend.
According to Rahimov, the new program includes rules and conditions of conducting audit on the base of Tax Code, as well as main directions and items of audit.
Rahimov also stressed that the Chamber of Auditors planned to organize a workshop with participation auditors of the establishment, representatives of other audit companies, as well as Taxes Ministry to discuss main directions of the program.
Along with it the organization carries out work over the improvement of the legislation in the sphere of auditor activities, in particular, the laws on Audit Services and on Interior Audit, which is funded by the technical assistance of the World Bank (WB). The WB grant allocated for the upgrade of the accountancy and audit is $340,000. The work will be complete in 2006.
