OECD member states to discuss competition issues on 26 January in Budapest

The first sitting on program planning of the regional Centre on competition of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will take place on 26 January 2006 in Budapest. Heads of the anti-monopoly bodies of the CIS and the Eastern

Europe states will take part in the event, Trend reports, citing the press-release of the Department on the anti-monopoly policy of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) of Azerbaijan.

The main goal of the event is discussion of the action program for 2006 by the regional Centre on competition, measures which can me implemented in regard to the competition policy and law.

Director of the MED Antimonopoly Department Ragim Huseynov will participate in the event from Azerbaijan.

The OECD regional Centre was established in early 2005 aimed at developing and protection of competitiveness in the CIS and Eastern Europe countries.
