Unibank practically doubled the plastic card emission in 2005 having issued 10, 361 of them, the Unibank press-release reports, according to Trend.
The emission comprised of the local cards as well as of the Visa Electron, Visa Classic and Visa GOLD cards and for the first time ever the Visa Business cards. It is noteworthy that while the Banks local-card emission only rose by 5.4% during January-December, the Visa International card emission rose by 293%.
Also in 2005, UniBank increased the network of its ATMs substantially and this is pursued this year as well. The Bank has 25 ATMs right now. In addition, the Bank has 22 owned POS-terminals at the present time.
