The law On veterans will be made additions, Trend reports with reference to the permanent social-political commission of Azerbaijani parliament.
It was stated that the changes will be made to articles 3 and 7 of bill On veterans. In article 3, it is intended not to confer the veteran rank to the persons who without permission deserted the military union or service place during the conducting of battle operations for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan Republic, were arrested for desertion or other crimes or released from criminal responsibility according to the amnesty act.
In the article 7, it is intended the definition of rules and terms by the relevant organs of executive powers to confer the rank of war veteran or veteran of labour.
In connection with the redevelopment of the bill, the appeals were forwarded to the veteran organizations functioning in the country so that they put forward their proposals and opinions.
