During January-June 2006, potatoes harvest in Azerbaijan was gathered in from 17,600 ha of area. The harvest totaled 233,400ton, up 22,400ton over year.
Rizvan Mustafayev, assistant to chief of agriculture production and processing with the Ministry of Agriculture, told Trend the harvest of vegetables during this period totaled 256k ton (up 32,700ton over year). Total sown area for vegetables is 79,145ha.
