On September 25, the visit of Korean delegation headed by the Director of Metal & Petrochemical Industry Department of the Korean Ministry of Energy, Industry & Commerce Nam Shang Khyun to Azerbaijan began. The delegation includes the representatives of large petrochemical companies, Corporation SK, Company Homan Petrol & Chemikal, Corporation GF Calteks, Chemical Company KP, LG Chemikal, Korean Association of Petrochemical Industry, Trend reports with reference to the Economic Development Ministry of Azerbaijan
The guests met with the Deputy Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Niyazi Safarov. They were informed about the situation in the country, its investment climate, business environment and the priorities of Azerbaijan in the development of the non-oil sector. The Korean delegation took an interest in the investment conditions in petrochemical sphere of Azerbaijan, profitability of the production and the market.
The visit will conclude on 27 September.
The interest towards Azerbaijan increased after the May visit of Korean President Ro Mu Nyun to Azerbaijan. During the visit, a large potential between Azerbaijan and Korea was approved for the co-operation in the sphere of petrochemistry, road construction, agriculture, banking and insurance market.
Today Korean companies are represented in electronic-home appliances, sale and technical service of cars.
