The Azerbaijani-Latvian Business Forum is planned to take place on 5 October in Riga. The event will be organized within the official visit of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Latvia, Trend reports with reference to the statement of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Foundation (AZPROMO).
The organizational support for the business forum from the Azerbaijani side is provided by the Ministry of Economic Development and AZPROMO.
The business forum will bring together nearly 60 companies specialized in the processing of foodstuffs, construction materials, chemical industry, etc. During the forum, direct meeting are expected to be held between the business people of the two countries.
The first Azerbaijani-Latvian business forum was held on 4 October 2005 in Baku during the visit of Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga to Azerbaijan. The business forum was attended by 150 Azerbaijanis and 50 Latvian business people who signed co-operation documents.
