Arif Asgarov, the chief of the Azerbaijan State Railway Department, stated that 3.2 million tons of the total 11.5 million tons delivered by the Azerbaijani rail was for oil and oil products transported from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The total volume of oil and oil products from Kazakhstan comprised 1,400,000 tons this year. The volume of delivery of the cargo supplied from Turkmenistan amounted to 1,800,000 tons, Asgarov stated
It is hoped that the increase of the volume of oil delivery and oil production from the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea will be maintained.
