(autoinsidernews) - In another expansion of their rapidly growing partnership, Nissan and Suzuki are considering joint production in Russia and Brazil. Earlier this year, we reported that Nissan was planning to expand its Japanese minicar lineup with additional Suzuki-built, Nissan-badged vehicles, Nissan would also supply a minivan (from its Indian factory) and a compact pickup (this for sale in North America), and finally Suzuki would provide a new A-segment vehicle for sale in Europe, reports Trend.

Suzuki currently sends SUVs from Japan and small cars from a plant in Hungary to Russia. Suzuki pulled out of the Brazilian market in 2003, but Nissan has been assembling vehicles in Brazil since 2001, including pickup trucks and SUVs. Suzuki is planning to re-enter the Brazilian market by 2008 and is considering having Nissan manufacture its cars.
