NBA (National Bank of Azerbaijan ) acknowledges the fact on reducing the face efficient exchange rate of Manat against the currencies of the trade partners of the country in September, 2006 versus December, 2005. According to NBA, the rate decreased by 0.4 percent in the general commercial intercourse, 1.1% - in the export. On the contrary, it increased by 0.5% in the import. In comparison with the corresponding period of 2005, the face efficient value of the National Currency grew by 1.9% - in the general commercial intercourse, 2.2% - in the import, and 1.6% - in the export.
According to the calculations of NBA, in comparison with the end of the last year, in September, 2006, the face efficient value of Manat on the non-oil sector of the economy grew by 1.4 percent in the general commercial intercourse, 1.3% - in the import, 1.5% in the export. The rate increased by 4%, 3.9%, and 2.6% correspondingly against the corresponding period of 2005.
In comparison with December 2000, in September 2006, the face efficient value of Manat decreased by 9.2 percent in the foreign trade, 1.3% - in the import, 15.3% - in the export. In the non-oil sector, the value efficient rate of Manat increased by 4.4%, 3.2%, and 11.9% corresponsingly
