According to the calculations of international financial institutions, among 42 countries involved in the survey held, Azerbaijan takes the first place on the growth rate of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) per capita in 2007. The next year, the gross profit per capita in the country is expected to be at the level of $7,578 against $4,700 in 2006. The growth will make up 61.2%, while Georgia is expected to increase this figures by 26.9%, and Armenia, on the contrary, decrease it by 9.9%.
Among CIS countries, the most significant growth of the gross profit per capita is expected to be in Turkmenistan (by 51.1% or up to $9219).
According to the survey, the leaders on the volume of GDP per capita are Norway ($45, 449 at a growth by 7.2%), USA ($45,218 at a growth by 7.7%), Denmark ($37,406 at a growth by 12%), Germany ($29,800 at a growth by 9.7%), Estonia (19,243 at a growth by 17.3%), Russia ($12,798 at a growth by of 19.6%), etc.
