State Statistics Committee Showed Inflation Rate in Azerbaijan over the Past 10 Months

On October, 2006, the growth rate of prices on consumer goods and tariffs on services went up by 1.3% versus September, 2006. According to the State Statistics Committee, in the reporting period, the price on foods and non-foods increased by 1,6%, tariffs on services by 0,2%, Trend reports.

The State Committee said that in October 2006, prices on meat increased by 0,3%, dairy, cheese, and eggs by 2%, bakery 0,7%, fish products 2,9%, vegetables 8,7%, sugar and confectionery 0,2%, coffee, tea, cacao 0,9%. In the reporting period, the prices on the following goods fell down: oils and fats - 0,2%, fruits 0,4%, mineral water, juices, and cool drinks - 1,2%, alcohol drinks 0,8%.

In comparison with the corresponding period of the last year, over the past ten month, 2006, the inflation rates reached 7,7%. At the same time, prices on foods increased by 11%, non-foods 5%, tariffs on services - 2,4%. In October, 2006, prices on consumer goods and tariffs increased by 11,2% versus the corresponding period of the last year.
