The Azerbaijan Taxes Ministry is eager to change the taxation mechanism of entertainment facilities during the development of changes and supplements to the Tax Code within the framework of 2008 budget process, Trend reports.
Every year we try to normalize the work to improve revenues in this sector. Next year we will have to get familiar with the similar experience in other countries. For the time being we are dissatisfied with the remittances by restaurants. The taxation system should be changed, said the Taxes Minister Fazil Mammadov. The Taxes Ministry offered to transfer them to payment of simplified tax payment, while the proposal was rejected by the Government.
Tax rate for facilities functioning in Baku and other regions was proposed in the level of 10% of the turnover, and in Nakhchivan the figure comprise 5%.
