The Head of the State Veterinary Service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture, Ismayil Hasanov, stated that the State Service has forwarded the samples of birds taken in Tazakand village of Jallabad district for a repeat laboratory examination, Trend reports.
According to him, research held by the Veterinary Service showed that the plague of the birds in the Jallabad district was caused by colibacteriosis and not bird flu. Despite this, the samples have been sent to Great Britain, Italy and Ukraine for a repeat examination, Hasanov said.
He stressed that at present, there no deaths of the birds as a result of the bird flu have been noted in Azerbaijan.
At present the next monitoring is being completed in the country, and its results will be announced in the near future.
