Audi RS4 Cabriolet unlikely for the States

(autoinsidernews) - Audi of America was decided against importing the RS4 Cabriolet to the United States, according to the folks over at Fourtitude. The American arm of Audi was rumored to be seriously considering bringing the high performance drop-top to the States.

Audi unveiled the RS4 Cabriolet earlier this year, and super-hot cabrio went on sale in Europe this summer. The RS4 Cabriolet is powered by the same high-revving 420-hp V8 seen in the sedan, leading to 0-62 mph times under five seconds, reports Trend.

One of the most likely reasons that Audi has decided against bringing the RS4 Cabriolet to the States is the strength of the Euro. If exchange rates change, Audi could change direction and bring the RS4 Cabriolet this way. If it was sold in the United States, the RS4 Cabriolet would likely cost between $75,000 and $80,000.
