Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister to Participate at an International Expo to Be Held in Berlin

Ismat Abbasov, Azerbaijan's Agriculture Minister, is expected to participate in the international exhibition International Green Week вЂ" Berlin 2007, a source in the Agriculture Ministry of the Country informed Trend today.

Several other specialists representing the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry are also expected to take part in the forthcoming event. Green Week, an exhibition of food industry, agriculture and gardening is Germany's most known agriculture and food expo. It will be held at the Berlin Expo centre on 18-28 January, 2007. However, the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to the event will last from 19-22 January, 2007.

Bilateral meetings with representatives of the state agriculture agencies of different countries, international organizations, as well as the signing of different agreements on co-operation may take place.

This expo was held in 1926 for the first time. All visitors of the forthcoming event will have an opportunity to see a wide spectrum of goods within the food industry, ranging from meat and sausages to fruits and vegetables from all over the World, as well as tea, vine, beer and other alcoholic drinks. In addition, the visitors may observe different seeds, agricultural equipment, green houses and other agricultural products.

Within International Green Week Berlin 2007, different sales, showing different agricultural production, forestry, and landscape projecting and designing, as well as different symposiums, seminars, forums and many other interesting arrangements are expected to be held.

This year will be the 72nd international event.
