The State Veterinary Service of the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry denied the recently-spread information that foot-and-mouth disease was detected in Ali-Bayramli Region of Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to a message spread by the State Service.
In order to explain the situation, local departments of the State Service have held researches. As results of the researches, it was found that there had not been such a disease neither in the Town of Ali-Bayramli nor on the territory around the town. No fact on foot-and-mouth disease has been detected.
The State Service calls up the population to not believe in such kinds of disinformation, and states that Azerbaijan constantly inoculates cattle against foot-and-mouth disease, and that there has not been such a disease in the country up to date.
