Central Headquarters Created in Russia to Resolve Problems with Legalization of Azerbaijanis' Labor Activities

The preparation of the pack of measures has been completed to render assistance to the Azerbaijan citizens in legalizing their labor activities in the territory of the Russian Federation. The Chief of the Employment Policy Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan, Vagab Mammadov, exclusively informed Trend that presently the legal status is being defined, after which it will be signed. We reached an agreement with the Russian side to resolve this question without bureaucracy and in an operative manner, he said.

According to the new rules of the Russian Federation, it needs to show the goal of the visit in the migration card while visiting Russia. If they do not show the labor establishment goals, from January 1, 20007, these citizens will emerge problems with the labor establishment and no juridical assistance will be available for them. According to Mammadov, on base of the Russian Congress of the Azerbaijanis, central headquarters have been created in 7 regions of Russia to protect the rights of the Azerbaijan migrants in Russia. These headquarters will cover all regions of Russian Federation.

In addition, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan has prepared a booklet for the migrants to provide them with information on the legalization of the labor activities.

Mammadov said that the Azerbaijan delegation has repeatedly arrived to Russia to discuss the legalization of the labor activities of the Azerbaijanis. The Social Development Ministry and Migration Service of Russia expressed readiness to render assistance in resolving the problems with legalization of the labor activities

In 2007, the Government of Russia defined quota for the labor market of Russia.
