OECD and EBRD Commission to Study Situation with Corporative Management in Banking Sector of South Caucasian Countries

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) created a joint commission to study the situation of corporate management in the banking sector in several countries of Eurasia вЂ" Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzia, Moldavia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Armenia, a Trend Special Correspondent in Tbilisi reports quoting the Finance and Budget Committee of the Georgian Parliament.

The work of the Commission will be attend by the representatives of central banks, banking associations and legislative bodies of the above mentioned countries, including the Basel Committee for Banking Control.

The Commission will study crediting and financial policy implemented in these countries, the circumstances with the management of the risks, level of transparency in corporative management and co-operation between the banking control organizations and regulators of the financial market.

Relevant recommendations will be prepared as a result of the research. The Head of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Georgian Parliament, Irakli Kovzanadze, has been elected the Chairman of the Commission.
