Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The State Veterinary Service of the Agriculture Ministry of Azerbaijan plans to hold a zonal meeting in Nakchivan Autonomous Republic until the end of March.
The meeting aims to summarize the results of 2006 and define measures for 2007. A special attention will be paid to the measures within fight against "bird flu".
The veterinary Service states that presently the regional veterinary services have been provided with necessary disinfection substances and special dresses within the fight against "bird flu". The
Population is recommended to keep the domestic birds in closed premises and away from the wild birds. The ban on hunting and consumption of the wild birds is in force.
